The quest for enlightenment is the quest for truth or reality. It’s not a quest for ideas about truth—that’s philosophy. And it’s not a quest to realize your fantasies about truth—that’s fundamentalized religion. It’s a quest for truth on truth’s terms. It’s a quest for the underlying principle of life, the unifying element of existence.

In your quiet moments of honesty, you know that you are not who you present yourself as, or who you pretend to be. Although you have changed identities many times, and changed them even in the course of a single day, none of them fit for long. They are all in a process of constant decay. One moment you’re a loving person, the next an angry one. One day you’re an indulgent, worldly person; the next a pure, spiritual lover of God. One moment you love your image of yourself, and the next you loathe it. On it goes, identified with one self-image after another, each as separate and false as the last.

When this game of delusion gets boring or painful enough, something within you begins to stir. Out of the unsatisfactoriness of separation arises the intuition that there is something more real than you are now conscious of. It is the intuition that there is truth, although you do not know what it is. But you know, you intuit that truth exists. Truth that has absolutely nothing to do with your ideas about it. But somehow you know that the truth about you and all of life exists.

Once you receive this intuition, this revelation, you will be compelled to find it. You will have no choice in the matter. You will have consciously begun the authentic quest for enlightenment, and there is no turning back. Life as you’ve known it will never be quite the same.

A great Zen master said, “Do not seek the truth; simply cease cherishing illusions.” If there is a primary practice or path to enlightenment, this is it—to cease cherishing illusions. Seeking truth can be a game, complete with a new identity as a truth-seeker fueled by new ideas and beliefs. But ceasing to cherish illusions is no game; it’s a gritty and intimate form of deconstructing yourself down to nothing. Get rid of all of your illusions and what’s left is the truth. You don’t find truth as much as you stumble upon it when you have cast away your illusions.

As the master said, “Do not seek the truth.” But you can’t stop seeking just because some ancient Zen master said to. Seeking is an energy, a movement toward something. Spiritual seekers are moving toward God, nirvana, enlightenment, ultimate truth, whatever. To seek something, you must have at least some vague idea or image of what it is you are seeking. But ultimate truth is not an idea or an image or something attained anew. So, to seek truth as something objective is a waste of time and energy. Truth can’t be found by seeking it, simply because truth is what you are. Seeking what you are is as silly as your shoes looking for their soles by walking in circles. What is the path that will lead your shoes to their soles? That’s why the Zen master said, “Do not seek the truth.” Instead, cease cherishing illusions.

To cease cherishing illusions is a way of inverting the energy of seeking. The energy of seeking will be there in one form or another until you wake up from the dream state. You can’t just get rid of it. You need to learn how to invert it and use the energy to deconstruct the illusions that hold your consciousness in the dream state. This sounds relatively simple, but the consequences can seem quite disorienting, even threatening. I’m not talking about a new spiritual technique here; I’m talking about a radically different orientation to the whole of your spiritual life. This is not a little thing. It is a very big thing, and your best chance of awakening depends on it. “Do not seek the truth; simply cease cherishing illusions.” And if you’re like most spiritually oriented people, your spirituality is your most cherished illusion. Imagine that.

What Can Be Said About Love?

What can be said about love?
Nothing, really.
We are either being love
or we’re talking about it.
Talk is cheap; love can’t be bought.

It is not about flowery words,
or the agony or ecstasy of emotion.
It is not even about relationship,
or merging union with the Divine.
Where are there two?

And yet . . . and yet . . .
This wordless pull of connection–
even when the mind
wants no connection.
What is that unsought warmth?

That melting of resistance,
the fire that makes
even iron turn to liquid,
or a caterpillar dissolve
before wings emerge?

Love’s only true language is Being.
Demand love, and it will flee.
Bargain with love, and you will lose.
Eventually, you will rejoice in defeat;
Love refuses all separation.

Love moves, responds, touches,
returns the unwanted pieces of your life
back to wholeness. Its language is truth,
and truth speaks love, but these are words,
and not alive, until your heart opens.

Every moment love is gently knocking
from inside, longing to flow out;
but we are busy looking elsewhere,
searching in the market place of “me’s”
to fill the emptiness that is, itself, vast love.

What can be said about love?
Nothing, really. These words fail.

Dear Friends,

I would like to invite each one of you into your true, open, and undivided Heart to discover the Love that is already deeply present. The mind asks, “How?” But it is not the mind that will tell us. There is no “I am loving” in the deepest love, no efforting, no demanding, no thoughts of worthiness or unworthiness, and no one claiming to be Love. Love simply shines as itself on whatever it sees. Such love has no conditions, demands no rewards. Love is all it knows to do or be. It springs from Awareness, arises right out of Emptiness. This is a love that transforms whatever it touches but has no agenda for anything to be transformed. It is totally unself-consciousness; it simply moves when our heart is opened, when we are no longer fiercely guarding our separation. A little teaching story told by Anthony de Mello goes like this:

What is love?
The total absence of fear.
What do people fear?
Love.

We can remain “separate” to the death, but in love, we cannot continue to hold ourselves separate. Perhaps this is the real reason we fear love while simultaneously longing for it. Are we ready to let go of the “one” searching for love so that Love can simply move us?

I’m going out on a limb here, forgive me but I share this information as most people believe that vaccinations are necessary and or the law. The media is creating fear, almost hysteria in people about getting the H1N1 flu shot which hasn’t even been properly tested on humans/children and some doctors say it is worse for you than the flu. If you want to educate yourself about the vaccine and not just hear what the drug companies are supplying the newspapers and newscasters, then check out the links below as well as the article about exactly what is in the flu vaccine that isn’t good for our children. Regarding other vaccines.

If you choose to not to continue vaccinating your children after discovering what is in them, you need to get an affadavit signed and given to the Public Health Department and or your school as they will say your child isn’t allowed to go to school unless immunized. An FYI on swine flu vaccine.

A friend sent me an email from Dr. Blaylock, which I have recopied below
along with the link to his bio. I have also included the long article from
his web site.

His email regarding the swine flu read:

“No  one should take this vaccine – it is one of the most dangerous vaccines
ever devised. It contains an immune adjuvant called squalene (MF-59) which
has been shown to cause severe autoimmune disorders such as MS, rheumatoid
arthritis and Lupus. The newsletter for August covers this and it may not be
out yet. This is the vaccine adjuvant that is strongly linked to the Gulf
War syndrome, which killed over 10,000 soldiers and caused a 200% increase
in the fatal disease ALS (Lou Gehreg disease). This virus H1N1 kills by
causing a “cytokine storm”, which means that it causes the body’s immune
system to overreact and that is why it is killing young people and is a mild
disease in the elderly. (The elderly have weakened immune systems) This
vaccine is a very powerful immune stimulator and carries the real
possibility of making the lethality of the virus much greater.

One’s best protection is vitamin D3…One should take  5000 IU a day now and
when the disease begins to spread increase the dose to 15,000 IU a day.
Vitamin D3 modulates the immune reaction, reducing the chance of an
overreaction and stimulates the body to produce what are called
antimicrobial peptides, which are powerful killers of viruses that does not
involve immunity. This is dose related, which means the higher the dose of
D3 the better the protection. Fish oils (the best is Carlson’s Norwegian
lemon flavored fish oil) also reduce immune overreaction. One teaspoon a day
should be sufficient. For severe symptoms, one teaspoon twice a day.
Antioxidants of various kinds also help.

Feel free to spread this around. People need to know to protect themselves.

Vaccine May Be More Dangerous Than Swine Flu

An outbreak of swine flu occurred in Mexico this spring that eventually
affected 4,910 Mexican citizens and resulted in 85 deaths. By the time it
spread to the United States, the virus caused only mild cases of flu-like
illness.

Thanks to air travel and the failure of public health officials to control
travel from Mexico, the virus spread worldwide. Despite predictions of
massive numbers of deaths and the arrival of doomsday, the virus has
remained a relatively mild disease, something we know happens each year with
flu epidemics.

Worldwide, there have only been 311 deaths out of 70,893 cases of swine flu.
In the United States, 27,717 cases have resulted in 127 deaths. Every death
is a tragedy, but such a low death rate should not be the basis of a
draconian government  policy.

It is helpful to recall that the Centers for Disease Control with the
collusion of the media, constantly tell us that 36,000 people die from the
flu each year, a figure that has been shown to be a lie. In this case, we
are talking about 300 plus deaths for the entire world.

This virus continues to be an enigma for virologists. In the April 30, 2009
issue of Nature, a virologist was quoted as saying,”Where the hell it got
all these genes from we don’t know.” Extensive analysis of the virus found
that it contained the original 1918 H1N1 flu virus, the avian flu virus
(bird flu), and two new H3N2 virus genes from Eurasia. Debate continues over
the possibility that swine flu is a genetically engineered virus.

Naturally, vaccine manufacturers have been in a competitive battle to
produce the first vaccine. The main contenders have been Baxter
Pharmaceuticals and Novartis Pharmaceuticals, the latter of  which recently
acquired the scandal-ridden Chiron vaccine company. Both of these companies
have had agreements with the World Health Organization to produce a pandemic
vaccine.

The Baxter vaccine, called Celvapan, has had fast track approval. It uses a
new vero cell technology, which utilizes cultured cells from the African
green monkey. This same animal tissue transmits a number of
vaccine-contaminating viruses, including the HIV virus.

The Baxter company has been associated with two deadly scandals. The first
event occurred in 2006 when hemophiliac components were contaminated with
HIV virus and injected in tens of thousands of people, including thousands
of children. Baxter continued to release the HIV contaminated vaccine even
after the contamination was known.

The second event occurred recently when it was discovered that Baxter had
released a seasonal flu vaccine containing the bird flu virus,  which would
have produced a real world pandemic, to 18 countries. Fortunately, astute
lab workers in the Czech Republic discovered the deadly combination and blew
the whistle before a worldwide disaster was unleashed.

Despite these two deadly events, WHO maintains an agreement with Baxter
Pharmaceuticals to produce the world’s pandemic vaccine.

Novartis, the second contender, also has an agreement with WHO for a
pandemic vaccine. Novartis appears to have won the contract, since their
vaccine is near completion. What is terrifying is that these pandemic
vaccines contain ingredients, called immune adjuvants that a number of
studies have shown cause devastating autoimmune disorders, including
rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis and lupus.

Animal studies using this adjuvant have found them to be deadly. A study
using 14 guinea pigs found that when they were injected with the special
adjuvant, only  one animal survived. A repeat of the study found the same
deadly outcome.

So, what is this deadly ingredient? It is called squalene, a type of oil.
The Chiron company, maker of the deadly anthrax vaccine, makes an adjuvant
called MF-59 which contains two main ingredients of concernqualene and
gp120. A number of studies have shown that squalene can trigger all of the
above-mentioned autoimmune diseases when injected.

The MF-59 adjuvant has been used in several vaccines. These vaccines,
including tetanus and diphtheria, are the same vaccines frequently
associated with adverse reactions.

I reviewed a number of studies on this adjuvant and found something quite
interesting. Several studies done on human test subjects found MF-59 to be a
very safe immune adjuvant. But when I checked to see who did these studies,
I foundo no surprisehat they were done by the Novartis Pharmaceutical
Company and Chiron Pharmaceutical Company, which have merged. They were all
published in “prestigious” medical journals. Also, to no surprise, a great
number of studies done by independent laboratories and research institutions
all found a strong link between MF-59 and autoimmune diseases.

Squalene in vaccines has been strongly linked to the Gulf War Syndrome. On
August 1991, Anthony Principi, Secretary of Veterans Affairs admitted that
soldiers vaccinated with the anthrax vaccine from 1990 to 1991 had an
increased risk of 200 percent in developing the deadly disease amyotrophic
lateral sclerosis (ALS), also called Lou Gehrig’s disease. The soldiers also
suffered from a number of debilitating and life-shortening diseases, such as
polyarteritis nodosa, multiple sclerosis (MS), lupus, transverse myelitis (a
neurological disorder caused by inflammation of the spinal cord),
endocarditis (inflammation of the heart’s inner lining), optic  neuritis with
blindness and glomerulonephritis (a type of kidney disease).

Because squalene, the main ingredient in MF-59, can induce hyperimmune
responses and induce autoimmunity, a real danger exists for prolonged
activation of the brain’s immune cells, the microglia. This type of
prolonged activation has been strongly associated with such diseases as
multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, ALS and
possibly vaccine-related encephalitis. It has been shown that activation of
the systemic immune system, as occurs with vaccination, rapidly activates
the brain’s microglia at the same time, and this brain inflammation can
persist for long periods.

So, how would the gp120 get into the brain? Studies of other immune
adjuvants using careful tracer techniques have shown that they routinely
enter the brain following vaccination. What most people do not know, even
the doctors who recommend  the vaccines, is that most such studies by
pharmaceutical companies observe the patients for only one to two weeks
following vaccinationhese types of reactions may take months or even years
to manifest.

It is obvious that the vaccine manufacturers stand to make billions of
dollars in profits from this WHO/government-promoted pandemic. Novartis, the
maker of the new pandemic vaccine, recently announced that they would not
give free vaccines to impoverished nationsverybody pays.

One must keep in mind that once the vaccine is injected, there is little you
can do to protect yourselft least by conventional medicine. It will mean a
lifetime of crippling illness and early death.

There are much safer ways to protect oneself from this flu virus, such as
higher doses of vitamin D3, selective immune enhancement using supplements,
and a good diet.

The only portals of entry are the nostrils and mouth/throat. In a global
epidemic of this nature, it’s almost impossible to avoid coming into contact
with H1N1 in spite of all precautions. Contact with H1N1 is not so much of a
problem as proliferation is.

While you are still healthy and not showing any symptoms of H1N1 infection,
in order to prevent proliferation, aggravation of symptoms and development
of secondary infections, some  very simple steps, not fully highlighted in
most official communications, can be practiced (instead of focusing on how
to stock N95 or Tamiflu):

1. Frequent hand-washing (well highlighted in all official communications).

2. “Hands-off-the-face” approach. Resist ALL temptations to touch any part
of face (unless you want to eat, bathe or slap).

3. *Gargle twice a day with warm salt water (use Listerine if you don’t
trust salt). *H1N1 takes 2-3 days after initial infection in the throat/
nasal cavity to proliferate and show characteristic symptoms. Simple
gargling prevents proliferation. In a way, gargling with salt water has the
same effect on a healthy individual that Tamiflu has on an infected one.
Don’t underestimate this simple, inexpensive and powerful preventative
method.  NOTE: (He does not say to use sea salt,  but rather regular salt.)

4. Similar to 3 above, *clean your nostrils at least once every day with
warm salt water.  Blowing the nose hard once a day and swabbing both
nostrils with cotton buds dipped in warm salt water is very effective in
bringing down viral population.*

5. *Boost your natural immunity with foods that are rich in Vitamin C (Amla
and other citrus fruits). *If you have to supplement with Vitamin C tablets,
make sure that it also has Zinc to boost absorption.

6. *Drink as much of warm liquids (tea, coffee, etc) as you can. *Drinking
warm liquids has the same effect as gargling, but in the reverse direction.
They wash off proliferating viruses from the throat into the stomach where
they cannot survive, proliferate or do any  harm.

What is peering from behind our masks?
Can it touch itself across the room?

In another moment it will shed itself.
What will you be then?
What were you before you had two hands?
What are you now?

What is not doing anything? What is not striving, seeking, looking, wanting, needing, believing?

The whole grasping energy inside….. what is that? IS the grasping or clinging of a spiritual person clinging to the ‘idea’ of belief of God any different that the energy or grasping of a person wanting a new car to complete their life?

Feel inside and think of something that you want.. what does it feel like inside? Now think of a spiritual desire if you have any…. does the basic energy feel any different?

On spiritual paths, it is easy for people to think they are ‘better’ than others who are not on a spiritual path-  consciously or unconsciously.  Check inside and see.  OMG I grew a huge spiritual ego that fueled my life for years and got me ‘nowhere’ hohoho.

Pull out all the weeds and what remains?

A ramble to myself from the Self.

I was driving to a friend’s house for a wonderful crepe breakfast this morning, Christmas Eve day, and was wondering about what does Christmas mean to me or other people? We take it for granted as a day to give gifts, see our families and eat a feast together. But is there anything more to it? I used to go to church regularly as a young adult, I was really into mystical Christianity. More like experience God rather than just believe in someone else’s ideas about God.

At this point in my life, (30 years later), I see Christmas as an invitation to connect to let the love that IS here and be born more deeply in my everyday life, especially in relation to all my human-ness and conditioned ‘hell’ that I inherited and lived.

Go for it! Don’t hide anymore. I resonate with love in relationships, family, friends and teachers, but how about resonate with the LOVE that is silently witnessing THIS life………HERE NOW … inside? I see/feel love in another’s eyes…….. have i noticed the love coming out of THESE EYES? Can I allow myself the noticing…… of that LOVE that is LOOKING out of these eyes to turn in? Can I allow everything = all the ^%^%^%$ from God knows where……to Rest in the simplicity….. the Love under it all.

Merry Christmas ! Merry Truth! Merry the LOVE that could perhaps Simply ….BE … You !
May it blossom fully fully and more fully every moment of every day.

For 30 years I’ve been waking up with the thought I should meditate and do asanas(postures). That is alot of stress to have that for so long every single morning all these years. I had periods when I would get up at 4am, 5am, 6am and do many hours – to now…. I would say my formal practice has been non-existent this past couple of summer months. I just realized yesterday that it has been 30 years! What about waking up and not having that ’should’ present anywhere in my mind whether conscious or unconscious?

I’ve been feeling inner division alot…. the old part thinks i should be doing yoga whether it it meditating or asanas, the fresh part that has accomplished sooo much in the relative world these past few months, is relaxed and enjoying life in whatever I am doing. I have wondered if there is something wrong with me because I am not meditating, am I afraid of something, is there somewhere inside sabatoging the Truth here?

Today I am noticing that because I’ve seen the absolute impossibility of any yoga practice bringing one to true ‘awakening’ or enlightenment, then why do it is one thought thread I’ve had inside this summer since going to a 5 day silent retreat in June with Adyashanti. The absolute hopelessness, complete impossibility and the deep utter failure of the so called ‘you’ ,,,,, ‘attaining anything’ in the spiritual realm.

It is all a set-up for failiure. I’m not talking about gaining experiences that come and go.

How about practicing yoga not for any goal in the future? How about practicing yoga because something here simply enjoys it!!!! How about simply for the love of IT!

Yahoo! What freedom… I can’t even describe it! Or I could say that maybe it feels like a kid jumping off our tower into the pond.

The LOVE which i have flown all over the world to sit at various teacher’s/guru’s feet is available right here – in everyone I meet, in my children, husband, students…. the distinction between human and spiritual is falling away…..

This is a note to my Self from my Self.

Yes to BEING HUMAN! Ever thought about the words ‘Human Being’ ? Who picked the word ‘being’ to go after ‘human’ ? I think they were smarter than most notice. How about meditate on the words ‘human BEING’ instead of a some sanskrit mantra some teacher thinks is going to give you salvation. Is it possible that the answer could be truly SIMPLE and already right here in our human-ness? DO we have to go to India (which i have done 3 times) on a spiritual quest, get sick, recite mantra, practice meditation, pranayam , asanas, rituals etc for year s on end… ultimately loosing site of the original goal….. just continuing to slave away at what i think or believe is important…….

How about starting where YOU ARE rather than for years trying to ‘get somewhere’, or be something else – that someone has told you you should strive for…. or fit a mold you read about in a so called spiritual book…or believe they all are smarter, know what is best, are holier and more pure and worthy than you and follow and imitate them as if you are a frigging grovelling idiot ?

I think i began treading the so called spiritual path due to not wanting to feel the pain that was threatening to explode inside…. I suppose there were other reasons.. but avoiding life i now realize was a big part of my ’so called spiritual life’. You might think i sound kind of cynical or something… but it is more that i just don’t buy it all anymore….

I used to divide my life into – this is spiritual – that is not…. seems like…. I’m discovering what it is to BE in this human form….. if that makes any sense…. a big huge laugh…….Ok…. more is falling away and opening up.

It seems that as the fear drops away to simply feel and notice all that I’ve feared, love and compassion appears. Being spiritual is not separate from being human anymore….. meditating because I was trying to not feel the pain inside or because i was escaping into a trance state to help me not feel what is here is not the answer for me anymore. I know it is believed to be the answer for many, but I am discovering that the more human i allow myself to be, the more I drop into all that is feared, the more love appears.

In trying to be spiritual – I discounted or ignored what was truly here. Only for my whole life. What a hoot to discover. What a relief…. the jewel really always was here, is here…..

A tender flower delicately blooming, spreading open its petals… completely…simply…. expanding – discovering Love….Space Simply Being Human.

New eyes opening.

“Let everyone be as they are.” Adya said this to me almost 4 years ago at the end of a conversation with him. I am continually learning what this means. After he said this, he brought his hands over his heart and said “bless you heart’. What a gift to have teachers that guide us to the Truth within.

My deepest gratitude to all that give us the space to Be That Which WE ARE in all of our Human-ness if there is such a word. Or I could say…. my deepest gratitude to my teachers, friends, and family that give us the space to acknowledge whatever arises and hold us in Love when things present themselves that we’ve hidden from for so many years.

My deepest gratitude for ’something here’ that gives acknowledgement for all the pain I have hidden and run from the last 35 years…

wow…. i’ve talked about hellish experiences and stories of childhood for all these years, but never was connected to the feeling sense of it all…. Just up in my head… which is ok as well. It is how i survived. The body is releasing, opening……. so much held in, no blame… just a letting go… ahh yes! as i say in my yoga classes……

perhaps when all is met within, the stories loose their force to consume our attention?

Let myself be as I am! Let myself be a human and stop trying to be some super spiritual blah blah blah concept of something other than what I am….!!!!! What am I without all the conditioning?
